Laborer - Transfer Station

Overview

The City of McCook is accepting applications for a full-time Laborer I position at the Transfer Station - Collection Department. Job duties include hauling large refuse items from alleys to the Transfer Station, including brush; repair and replace collection containers; assist with recycling and compost operations; operation of dump and sanitation trucks; maintenance of buildings, equipment, and grounds; minor vehicle repair;

and other duties as required.

• Perform other duties as required.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid Nebraska driver’s license required.
• CDL required within 6 months of employment.
• Selected candidate must pass a pre-employment drug test.

40-hour work week. Salary range: $18.72-$26.09/hour. Excellent medical, dental, and life insurance benefits and employer match pension plan.
