Responsibilities

  • Serve alongside the McDonough Campus Kids Director as a primary leader for all kids-related services at the McDonough campus
  • Assist with recruiting and overseeing several volunteer teams, ensuring each receives the direction, training and support they need to accomplish their goals.
  • Responsible for overseeing the preparation process for all corresponding classrooms for our kids services here at (i.e., weekend programming, monthly themes, etc.)
  • Assist with the coordination of all volunteer (dream team) gatherings and trainings to ensure that the vision and values of Turning Point Church are carried out with excellence.
  • Assist in the planning and coordination of all external kids-related events (i.e., Easter, Christmas Eve Services, outreaches, etc.)
  • Use existing church database to complete monthly follow-ups/touches with families via emails, cards, or phone calls.
  • Establish relationships with local schools for the purpose of creating outreach opportunities.
  • Help assist with lead and planning community outreach efforts.
  • To coordinate with the McDonough Campus Kids Director and team to regularly evaluate and assess the effectiveness of the kids experience, hosting weekly debrief meetings and/or monthly meetings for the purpose of service enhancements or adjustments.
Qualifications
  • Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Church Leadership, Child Development, or a related field
  • 2-3 years of hands‑on experience working directly with children in a classroom or church setting
  • 1-2 years of experience providing management or leadership oversight a team
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to lead multiple teams and projects at once
  • Able to work in a creative, highly collaborative environment
  • Possess strong organizational and time management skills
  • Experience with conflict resolution and crisis management.
  • Embody the character, chemistry, calling and competency desired of all Turning Point Church staff/employees
