GENERAL FUNCTIONThe Maintenance Engineer - Automation & Robotics will be responsible for ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and uptime of automated systems within the warehouse, including sorters, robotic systems (AMR/ACR), and PLC-controlled equipment. This role involves preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of automation assets to support smooth warehouse operations
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on warehouse automation systems such as conveyors, sorters, and automated storage/retrieval systems (ASRS).
- Maintain and troubleshoot robotic systems including Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMR) and Automated Case Retrieval (ACR) units.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers), sensors, and communication networks.
- Modify and optimize PLC programs to enhance performance, reliability, and process efficiency.
- Coordinate with OEMs and vendors for advanced technical support, spare parts, and software updates.
- Document all maintenance activities, equipment history, and root cause analyses.
- Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and operational standards during all maintenance activities.
- Support installation, testing, and commissioning of new automation and robotic systems.
- Collaborate with operations and engineering teams for process improvement and reliability projects.
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or Automation Engineering.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in automation or robotics maintenance in warehouse, manufacturing, or logistics environments.
- Strong knowledge of PLC systems (e.g., Siemens, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi) and industrial communication protocols.

- Familiarity with safety systems (E-stops, interlocks, sensors).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Attention to detail and commitment to safety.
