• Designs layouts of equipment
• Assists in specifying new production equipment including researching available providers, determination of specifications, obtaining quotations, recommending purchases, performing factory‑acceptance tests, arranging installation, completing startup, training, and performance qualification.
• Assists Automation team to find the ideal setup for the Factory flow.
• Liaises with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
• Estimates the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
• Drafts and submits budget proposals and recommends subsequent budget changes where necessary.
• Identifies and negotiates with other Internal functional areas for required personnel.
• Tracks project milestones and deliverables.
• Develops and delivers progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.

Minimum 2‑year degree (Associates) in related field or equivalent; 4‑year degree (Bachelor) preferred

3 to 5 years experience as an Engineer in production is required, preferably within the plastics industry, Technical Engineering background is preferred

• Strong organizational skills
• Strong mechanical aptitude and skills
• Mechanical and electrical skills
• Knowledge of packaging systems
• Ability to create engineering drawings
• Experience with Microsoft Office
• Thorough understanding of technical aspects of different types of equipment

• Lean Six Sigma (Green belt or Black Belt), preferred, not required
• PMP (Project Management Professional), preferred, not required
• CAPM (Certified Associate in Project Management), preferred, not required

Travel within the US up to 70% or more is expected

• Frequently required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk and hear
• Regularly required to stand; walk; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 lbs, frequently lift and/or move up to 30 lbs and occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 lbs.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
