Patrol Officer (certified and non-certified)
The City of Mc Donough is accepting applications for several full-time Patrol Officer positions.
Applicants do not have to be Georgia P.O.S.T. certified. Applicants who are not already certified will be sent to the Police Academy.
Minimum requirements: completion of High School Diploma or GED; twenty-one years of age; pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen and alcohol test, and extensive background investigation; possess a valid State of Georgia driver’s license (Class
C); have a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record

- GMA defined benefit retirement plan with 5 year vesting and several early retirement options. Higher benefit formula after 10 years. City contributes 100% towards the plan
- Take home vehicle for anyone living in Henry County or within 25 miles outside of Henry County line
- Paid vacation, holidays and sick leave
- 12 hour shifts, every other weekend off
Starting salary: Annual Salary: $49,800.00 for non-certified
Annual Salary: $60,532.00 for certified
Additional 10% for Night Differential
Additional compensation for college degree and other approved certifications.
