Talent Manager, HR Manager, Employee Relations
Join the People Development Lead role at ALPLA Group.
The People Development Lead supports ALPLA’s North America talent strategy by designing, securing, facilitating, and evaluating development programs for individual contributors, emerging leaders, and people managers. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the next chapter of people development across the region, influencing both strategy and execution. In close partnership with the Head of Talent and Learning & Development, this role delivers impactful learning experiences, supports performance management enablement, and helps build a culture of continuous growth.
ProgramDesign & Delivery
- Design, secure, adapt, and deliver people development programs aligned with business and talent needs.
- Facilitate engaging learning sessions (virtual and in‑person), including leadership journeys, onboarding, and skill‑building workshops.
- Provide coaching and development support to people leaders and high‑potential employees.
- Co‑facilitate or design team effectiveness workshops as requested (e.g., for cross‑functional or intact teams).
- Collaborate with managers and HR partners to activate and support Individual Development Plans (IDPs).
- Partner with HR and leaders to strengthen the performance management process through tools, training, and coaching.
- Support talent alignment, goal setting, and feedback practices to foster a culture of accountability and growth.
- Facilitate talent reviews and succession planning sessions with leaders and HRBPs.
- Translate talent insights into actionable development plans and pathways for critical roles and emerging leaders.
- Collaborate with HR and managers to activate development actions and plans stemming from talent reviews.
- Support change initiatives using Prosci/ADKAR tools and language in partnership with HR and leadership.
- Help leaders and teams build change readiness through communication, training, and facilitation.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to assess development needs and source best‑fit external vendors or platforms.
- Oversee vendor performance, ensuring alignment to scope, quality standards, and ALPLA’s learning culture.
- Track program participation, feedback, and outcomes to measure effectiveness.
- Recommend improvements based on business impact and learner input.
- Partner with HR and leaders to foster a learning culture rooted in curiosity, reflection, and growth mindset.

- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Organizational Development, Education, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 3–5+ years of experience in learning & development, talent development, or related role.
- Proven ability to design and facilitate adult learning programs.
- Strong communication, facilitation, and coaching skills across all levels.
- Experience with learning platforms, assessments, or coaching tools.
- Coaching certification or people coaching experience.
- Experience supporting leadership development in manufacturing or multi‑site environments.
- Familiarity with succession planning and high‑potential development.
- Knowledge of instructional design principles or adult learning theory.
Other requirements:
Approximately 10% - 25% travel.
- Frequently required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk and hear.
- Occasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually low.
