Job Shift: Second Shift 3pm - 1130pm

Job Summary: Responsible for the safe operation of Flexo and/or Die Cutter Machine Centers.

• Set-uprails,print,anddiecutsectionon Flexoaccuratelyinaccordancewithpropersetup techniques.
• Inspectalldiesbeforeandafterrun toensurethatanynecessaryrepairsaremadebeforethenext run.
• Ensureallboltsfor cuttingdiesareinplaceandtightlysecured.
• Monitor box quality,including,butnotlimitedto,loose liner,warp, correct size,andprint. Checkaniloxrollsfor damage.
• Maximizetheutilizationof equipment by operating the machineryatavailablecapacityand speed.
• Trainandassist First Helper ,Flexo Stacker,and Bundlerswithjobdutieson the machine. Cross-trainon other machines.
• Completenecessaryreportsinanaccurateandtimelymanner,includingbutnotlimitedto:
  Production Data,Machine Operational Status ,Safety Data,Quality Data.
• Turnin maintenance work orders tosupervisionfor needed repairs.
  
  Beproactiveinthe maintenance of equipment.
• Switchdutieswith First Helperas  necessary.
• Complywithallcompanypoliciesandprocedures,includingsafetyandmaintaininggood housekeeping.
• Adheres toproductionschedule.
  
  Makesrecommendationsfor optimizingthescheduletomeet cost,qualityandservicegoals.
  
  Reportsanyunusualschedulingissues to Supervisor.
• Additionaldutiesmaybeassignedby management.

• Ability to read and understand shop cards, print cards and die cut diagrams.
• Ability to deal with other employees and management in a courteous, tactful and patient manner.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Skill in operation of listed tools and equipment.
• Good understanding of machinery and good mechanical ability/aptitude.
• Ability to interpret quality standards.
• Ability to read and understand scheduling sheets.
• Ability to read and understand a tape measure.

• High School diploma or GED
• 2 to 5 year’s experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferably on high-speed Flexos and/or Rotary Die-Cutters (preferred)
• Experience as Operator and Asst Operator

• Ability to read and required to follow instructions on factory masters.
• Good performance/work history
