Responsibilities
  • Recruit, hire, and train licensed mortgage loan originators and support staff.
  • Ensure the origination of quality loans.
  • Generate personal production and develop and maintain good relationships with established realtors and customer bases.
  • Exercise administrative control over the sales function for the assigned branch.
  • Assume a leadership role among mortgage loan origination staff.
  • Coach, motivate, and support mortgage loan originators to ensure growth and profitability; define production goals for each originator and ensure adequate knowledge of Fast Trac 360.
  • Provide superior customer service to present and potential customers.
  • Develop new business and strengthen existing relationships by assessing prospects’ needs and selling appropriate products; ensure loans meet guidelines regarding amounts, rates, and terms; generate reports to track sales and marketing effectiveness.
  • Maintain knowledge of federal, state, local government policies, private investors’ guidelines, and industry trends.
  • Foster collaboration with Operations and Secondary Marketing departments.
Qualifications
  • Three or more years of management experience in mortgage sales preferred; operations background is a plus.
  • At least three years of related experience in the mortgage industry.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and follow-through skills.
  • Proficient in MS Windows software.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or economics preferred.
  • Willing to travel as required.
