The DHS Division of Family & Children Services (DFCS), Child Welfare, is seeking candidates to fill the position of Child Welfare Services Case Manager Supervisor, reporting to a Child Welfare Services Administrator. This position is in McDonough, Henry County.

Roles and Responsibilities:- Supervise and plan work of assigned staff
- Serve as job expert or organization resource in assigned areas
- Access and record client and community resource information
- Collect evidence, interviews witnesses, and prepare necessary reports according to rules and regulations, state and federal laws
- Compile records and prepare reports; performs follow-up to determine the status of client's case
- Conduct home-visit evaluations for information gathering to be used in assessments
- Coordinate and monitor children in out-of-home placements and in-home interventions
- Coordinate and monitor services, including comprehensive tracking of client's activities
- Develop case plans that effectively utilize community resources to meet needs of individual custodial client
- Identify placement resources for children within the foster care system
- Initiate the legal process for guardianship, protective services, placement and/or adoption
- Maintain required documentation and completes reports
- Make immediate assessments regarding safety of clients and respond according to established protocol and policies
- Perform initial investigations of protective services referrals to determine the appropriateness of protective services intervention
- Work in collaboration with legal system to ensure safety and achieve desired outcomes
- Review, approve/disapprove, or render decisions on casework being performed by staff
- Must have reliable transportation, proof of auto insurance, a valid state-issued driver's license, an acceptable driving history record and the ability to travel statewide.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license for work-related travel.
