LEAD YOUTH SOCCER COACH (SATURDAYS ONLY)

Compensation: $22.00 / hour starting

Job Type: Considered Part Time

  • Prior work with 2-12 year olds preferred (not required)
  • Sports coaching preferred (not required - we'll teach you!)

    Soccer Shots is an engaging children's soccer program for children ages 2-12 with a focus on character development. Our caring team positively impacts children's lives on and off the field through best-in-class coaching, curriculum, and communication.

    Soccer Shots is a non-competitive program that focuses on character development, soccer skills, and having fun.

    Our program is broken down into 4 age groups:

  • Minis: 2-3 year olds
  • Classics: 4-5 year olds
  • Premiers: 6-8 year olds
  • Premier Elites: 9-12 year olds

    • We train the best coaches in the business. You DO NOT need soccer experience to excel with Soccer Shots. You just have to be FUN and ENGAGING to kids!

    About This Job:

    TRAINING: As a youth soccer coach, you will first begin by learning the Soccer Shots method from our lead coaches. This training will bring you up to leading your own Soccer Shots sessions within 4 weeks. You will be evaluated once leading your own sessions and provided feedback on becoming the greatest coach for the kids.

    COACHING: Each day you will be at a different school or childcare center in McDonough, Covington, or Conyers to coach the Soccer Shots curriculum to kids. During your training and as a lead coach, you will be required to drive to the Soccer Shots schools and childcare centers around Covington and Conyers. Your daily schedule and the coaching curriculum will be provided ahead of time by the Program Coordinator for you to follow.

    It is very easy to follow. You will be coaching from 1-14 kids at any one time, with age ranges from 2-12 years old. We will provide you the proper coaching attire and equipment. You are expected to maintain proper care of all uniforms and equipment. Our goal is for every coach to have a partner coach on the field with them at all times.

    We do not want you feeling like you are coaching alone - we're a team!

    PERFORMANCE EVALUATIONS: You will be evaluated once your training has completed to ensure you are properly trained and ready to lead your own sessions (with an assistant coach helping you). Performance evaluations will be conducted at regular intervals to ensure you are following the Soccer Shots curriculum. Compensation increases will be based on performance evaluations.

  • Energetic, bringing Soccer Shots to life by creating a fun and exciting atmosphere that leads a child to smile and participate.
