Regional CDL-A Truck Driver – Solo (No Unloading)

Immediate opening for a SOLO Class A CDL Truck Driver at Ryder in Jonesboro, GA. Join our team of experienced drivers in the Southeast region.

Driver will be responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable laws
, loading/unloading freight, maintaining accurate logs, and performing other duties as assigned.

• Weekly pay: $1,320 or more
• Work hours:
  
  45+ hours per week (Monday – Friday or Tuesday – Saturday)
• Solo miles: $0.53 per mile with an average of 1,900 miles per week
• Solo stops: $23.75 per stop with an average of 12 stops per week
• Per diem: $28.00 per night for 1‑3 nights per week
• Paid training and overnights via Ryder‑booked hotel or sleeper
• Schedule offsets:
  Noon – 5:00 AM (start time)

• Uniforms, cell phone, and boot allowance
• Paid personal time off: 80 hours accrued in the first year

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass Ryder drug test, background and motor‑vehicle check, DOT physical and road test
• Provide a Class A CDL with required endorsements (Hazmat within 90 days of hire)
• Class A tractor‑trailer experience: 9 months in past 3 years OR 2 years in past 5 years OR 5 years in past 10 years
• Ability to follow written / oral instructions, read, interpret laws, rules, and regulations
• Ability to maintain accurate records and logs

Some positions require additional screening, including employment and education verification, motor‑vehicle record checks, and customer‑specific background requirements.

• Ensure compliance with applicable federal and state laws, regulations, and agency rules
• Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards; maintain accurate records and logs
• Load/unload freight or assist in loading/unloading if required by the customer
• Perform other duties as assigned
