Licensed Vocational Nurse

North Kern South Tulare Hospital District is looking for a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) who will assist in providing exceptional patient care to the residents of our Delano District Skilled Nursing Facility.

• Prepares and administers medications and treatments as ordered by the
• Ensure that narcotic records are accurate for your
• Review medications and completeness of
• Accurately transcribe physician’s order, initiate, and update care
• Complete and file recordkeeping forms/charts upon the resident’s admission, transfer and/or discharge
• Contributes to the attainment of DDSNF’s mission to provide distinctly high quality of care for our residents in a respectful and loving manner.
• Takes vital signs and measurements (i.e., height/length and weight) as needed

• Knowledge of and the ability to perform nursing procedures for which the vocational nursing course has provided the necessary degree of skill and judgment; performance shall be limited to those acts for which he or she has been prepared.
• Knowledge of accepted procedures for disposing of used
• Ability to observe the general physical condition of patients to detect signs of
• Ability to record observations completely, accurately, legibly, and
• Ability to communicate effectively in person and over
• Ability to exercise tact, initiative, and good judgment in dealing with
• Ability to accept/follow supervision and work independently as
• Must be able to read, write and speak and understand the English
• Must have excellent work ethic, patience tact, and
• Must have a current and valid LVN license
