Lead Teacher

A Child's Place of McHenry is a licensed childcare center seeking Lead Teachers to support our School Age classroom and drive our Bus!

To be QUALIFIED for this position, we require Lead Teacher qualification (CDA or at least 6 ECE college credits) and a valid driver's license.

Compensation: $19 - $21/hour, based on education and experience.

• Willingness to effectively substitute for any position as needed. This includes covering staff members’ breaks, filling in for staff members in their absences, and assuming the classroom duties of staff members before or after their scheduled shifts.
• Demonstrate patience, kindness and positive interactions with all children, parents, and staff.
• Operate as a team player and willingness to help where needed under the director of the lead teacher.
• Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
