Therapist Mental Health Professional BH Bilingual McHenry (54324)
The Association for Individual Development (AID) is a non‑profit organization whose mission is to empower people with physical, developmental, intellectual, and mental health challenges; those who have suffered a trauma; and those at risk, to enjoy lives of dignity and purpose.
Position Overview- Schedule: Mon-Fri 9am‑5:30pm, with one later evening.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Provide case management and counseling services to clients with persistent mental illness, translating into Spanish when needed.
- ate with a team of behavioral health service providers to ensure a client‑centered approach.
- Develop and implement individual treatment plans using the IM+CANS to maximize clients’ independent community living skills.
- Complete documentation of mental health services in accordance with state and agency standards.
- Promote client wellness through coaching, counseling, consultation, motivational enhancement, and information and referral services.
- Attend scheduled work hours including evening hours; may perform certain work components remotely by agreement.
- Provide effective individual, couples, and family counseling.
- Complete clinical assessments meeting program funder requirements.
- Refer clients for community‑based case management services as needed.
- Meet minimum service hours provision/billing standards.
- Acquire and maintain required certifications and trainings.
- Abide by AID’s Code of Ethics, policies, and procedures.
- Maintain professional judgment and performance regardless of personal issues.
- Participate in treatment plan development meetings and obtain client input to improve service provision.
- Provide outcome evaluation data to supervisor.
- Maintain positive professional relationships with agencies, stakeholders, and coworkers.
- Assist clients in obtaining and maintaining public entitlements.
- Participate in agency committees as assigned.
- Offer counseling/therapy services in client settings (home, community, or office).
- Promote awareness and respect for diversity among clients, employees, families, and stakeholders.
- $1,000 sign‑on bonus for full‑time employees.

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a human services field required.
