Phlebotomist

Phlebotomist – Labcorp – McHenry, IL

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to work in a client office. The role requires exceptional customer service and skilled specimen collection, and you will be the face of the company.

Work Schedule: Monday-Thursday 3:00pm-7:30pm, rotating Friday and Saturday 8:00am-5:00pm. Eligible for 2nd shift differential.

Location: McHenry, IL.

Pay Range: $17.75 - $23.50 per hour. Phlebotomist may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan (quarterly bonus).

Job Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and capillary collections for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Enter patient information accurately and timely.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training from an accredited agency, or previous experience as a phlebotomist (required).
• 1-2 years phlebotomy experience with all ages preferred.
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.
