This role is a Team Leader responsible for providing leadership to a customer-centric team of associates and accelerating seasonal tax business by managing a single H&R Block tax office. You will lead the front-line management of tax office associates, deliver an outstanding client experience, and help the office achieve growth objectives.

- Advance knowledge and serve as a knowledgeable resource on tax topics and products for associates.
- Partner with District General Manager to create and implement office-level growth plans, including developing local partnerships and managing office community involvement.
- Assist in recruiting and interviewing candidates for tax office positions.
- Serve as point of contact for onsite escalated client service concerns and ensure proper scheduling and conflict resolution.
- Lead daily activities to ensure all tax office work is completed on time with attention to quality standards and priorities.
- Train and coach associates to execute Service Standards and recognize outstanding contributions.
- Lead daily team meetings, communicate essential information, and create associate work schedules with accurate timekeeping and overtime management.
- Prepare tax returns when required and conduct timely performance reviews; address performance concerns with appropriate resources.
- Prior experience in a customer service, shift leader, or similar role; experience supervising or managing people.
- Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course* (if preparing tax returns).
- Annual completion of continuing education and ability to meet IRS and applicable state requirements.
- Computer proficiency with MS Office; ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong customer-centric mindset, flexibility in work schedule, and ability to adapt to business needs.
- High school diploma / equivalent or higher.
