This position is an exempt, full-time position located in McHenry, IL. The pay range for this position is between $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 annually. We offer a hybrid work schedule with 3 days in the office (Monday, Tuesday & Thursday) and 2 remote days (Wednesday & Friday).

Position OverviewThe Traffic Planner knows every aspect of the Communications and Creative Services teams’ project workflow and production processes and keeps projects moving under pressure and tight deadlines. This position works and collaborates with upwards of 50 internal team members across Marketing, Lead Generation, Print Production, Sales, Product, and HR teams overseeing and managing an average of 150 tasks per week.
This position is diligent on keeping current with all elements and phases of a multi‑channel marketing, lead generating, and sales campaign. This individual ensures each project is accomplished, on task and scheduled to meet the designated deadline. S/he is responsible for assessing all project requests that are submitted, building out accurate projects and campaigns in the project management tool, coordinating and communicating needs across stakeholders, understanding the status of each deliverable, anticipating and notifying appropriate team members of possible challenges and delays, and trouble shooting and adjusting the necessary timelines and resources as needed.
This position requires a candidate who can coordinate and track the status of multiple, complex, and competing simultaneous projects and keep things running smoothly across the department. It demands organization, attention to detail, adaptability, and a diplomatic touch. The Traffic Planner is comfortable working in a fast‑paced team environment and is willing to help the team whenever necessary. S/he is an excellent communicator of concise, accurate, deadline‑driven information, and is an expert at tracking and disseminating information, as well as working with team members that stretch across strategy, content, digital and traditional marketing, copywriting, graphic design, event management, data, and more.
KeyAccountabilities (80%) Project Planning and Coordination
- Develops, manages, and owns the workflow process from marketing project assignment to setting deadlines and completion.
- Receives and reviews all submitted project and single‑edit requests, ensuring all necessary information and assets are included; follows up with stakeholders and gathers any missing information prior to the project kicking off.
- Prioritizes and re‑prioritizes the project queue based on business objectives and resource availability. Adjusts project deliverable dates accordingly and communicates all movement with key members.
- Creates accurate timelines in project management software to ensure work will be completed within the requested deadlines while allowing ample time to meet high‑quality standards and expectations – paying special attention to advertising and event deadlines as they have no flexibility.
