Food Service – McHenry School District 15

Position at McHenry Middle School, reporting to the Director of Food Service. Term: 3.5 hours a day for 174 days.

• High school diploma or equivalent;
  Food Sanitation Certification required (will help obtain); previous experience in large scale food preparation preferred.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely.

• Flexibility and ability to work in a fast paced environment, often with strict deadlines.
• Ability to read, write, follow recipes and calculate quantities using simple math along with knowledge of operating a personal computer and related software.
• Capability to prepare daily food menu along with completing inventory, production records and daily sheets.
• Ability to communicate respectfully to staff, children and coworkers while working effectively as a member of a team.
• Maintain the highest standard of sanitation and safety according to HACCP principles, the state of Illinois and Local Health Departments.

• $16.00/hour starting.
