A leading commercial landscaping company is seeking an experienced Landscape Mechanic to join their McHenry, IL branch.

This position is responsible for servicing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of equipment — from small engines and trucks to trailers and snow gear. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and takes pride in keeping operations running smoothly year-round.

• Service and repair small landscape equipment (mowers, trimmers, blowers, etc.).
• Maintain and troubleshoot trucks, trailers, and snow equipment (plows, salt spreaders, etc.).
• Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and diagnostics.
• Handle basic repairs on hydraulics, electrical systems, and welding as needed.
• Ensure all tools, vehicles, and shop areas are kept safe, clean, and organized.
• Support operations by ensuring minimal downtime for field equipment.

• Prior experience as a mechanic or technician working on small engines, trucks, trailers, or heavy equipment.
• Basic knowledge of hydraulics, electrical systems, and welding (a plus).
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and reliability.
• Valid driver’s license required; CDL preferred.
• A proactive, hardworking attitude and ability to work independently.
