RN - Registered Nurse - 4525 (Day)

• Day shift position
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission
• Develop and implement individualized plans of care based on assessment data
• Provide patient information and status updates for Initial Team Conferences and weekly Re-evaluation Team Conferences
• Maintain accurate, succinct, and timely documentation of all assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the medical record
• Participate in patient rehabilitation programs on assigned unit
• Utilize nursing process of assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care
• Initiate discharge planning from day of admission and begin patient teaching in anticipation of discharge
• Communicate pertinent information regarding changes in patient status to attending physician and Charge Nurse
• Provide direction, training, and supervision of Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees
• Delegate appropriately and utilize problem-solving techniques in decision making
• Assume charge responsibility following orientation period as requested
• Minimum two (2) years of bedside clinical experience highly desired
• BLS Certification required prior to first shift
• ACLS required prior to first shift (CIRH only)
