Accountant​/Auditor

Overview

Collin County is seeking exceptional candidates for the position of Accountant/Auditor. The successful candidate will conduct financial and procedural audits by evaluating internal controls, and initiating corrective measures when directed by supervisor. Ensures compliance with State and County mandated fees, fines and costs by monitoring and tracking all County office disbursements. Responds to questions, provides required data, and makes audit recommendations for each audit report.

Serves as team leader during assigned audits by planning the work flow, assisting in developing audit work programs, and providing assistance as needed. Performs related duties as assigned. Work is performed under the direction of the Internal Audit Supervisor.

Work requires broad knowledge in accounting, normally acquired through four years of college resulting in a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. Must have two to three years of experience in general auditing and accounting. Must maintain and possess a valid Texas Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
