We’re partnering with an established CPA firm in McKinney, TX that is looking for a Tax Accountant to join their team. This is an opportunity for a tax professional who enjoys working with sophisticated clients and wants to take ownership of complex tax compliance and planning work.
The ideal candidate will have strong public accounting experience, hands-on knowledge of Forms 1040, 1041, 1065, and 1120-S, and the ability to work confidently across HNW individual and fiduciary tax engagements.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and review complex individual and business tax returns
- Prepare HNW individual tax returns and related tax filings
- Prepare trust and estate returns, including Form 1041
- Prepare partnership and S Corporation returns
- Assist with tax planning and research for complex client situations
- Communicate directly with clients regarding tax matters
- Maintain accurate and timely client files and documentation
- Support the team with additional accounting and tax projects as needed
- 5+ years of public accounting tax experience
- Strong experience with HNW individual taxation
- Hands-on experience with trusts and estates
- Strong knowledge of 1040, 1041, 1065, and 1120-S
- Experience handling complex tax returns independently
- Strong technical tax and research skills
- Excellent client communication and organizational skills
- EA or CPA preferred, or actively pursuing a credential
