Clerk; CSCD

Job Description

Collin County is seeking candidates for the position of Clerk in the Community Supervision department. A Clerk CSCD is responsible for but, not limited to, providing administrative and clerical support. Work is performed under the direction of a Lead Clerk.

• Answering calls and assisting clients.

• Preparing correspondence.

• Maintaining files and records, entering data into computer system, and processing paperwork.

• Receiving payments, balancing cash drawer and preparing bank deposits.

• Performing other duties as assigned.

• Must possess the knowledge necessary to understand basic operational, technical, and office processes.

• Must have a level of education equivalent to four years of high school.

• At least one (1) year of previous experience.

• Must possess and maintain a valid Texas Drivers License with an acceptable driving record.

• Must have sufficient skill to pass a typing test at the rate of 35 words per minute.

• The scheduled work hours for this position are 9:00am – 6:00pm.

This position requires that you pass a typing test at the minimum rate specified above.

• If you have taken a typing test with us within the last 6 monthsthatmeets or exceeds the requirements above, you do not need to take it again.

• If you have never takenour typing test,have notmet the requirements above, or it has been more than 6 months since your last test, you will need to take thetest in order for your application to be complete.

Typing tests are administered in the Human Resources Testing room from 8:30am - 4:30pm, Monday through Friday.
