Overview

This part-time position provides clerical, analytical, administrative, and operational support within the Academic Initiatives and Partnerships Operations department. The role supports staff by performing task-oriented duties and ensuring efficient office operations.

Essential Job Functions
  • Provides administrative support and assistance in preparing documents
  • Provides administrative support in managing digital databases, including scanning existing files into database
  • Ensures compliance with record retention policies
  • Practices discretion with confidential information
  • Provides support with contract compliance
  • Responsible for all file management within the Academic Initiatives and Partnerships
  • Other reasonable, related duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
  • Knowledge of general office practices and procedures
  • Proficiency with common office software (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel and Access)
  • Must be computer literate
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to communicate detailed information in a concise and understandable format
  • Ability to work on multiple projects
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize work assignments
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
Physical Demands

The work is sedentary. The employee typically sits to perform the work; there may be some walking, standing, bending, and carrying of light items. No special physical demands are required.

Work Environment
  • Equipment includes a PC workstation on a LAN in a Microsoft Windows environment, calculator, phone, and general office equipment
  • Interface with internal and external contacts as needed
  • Work is performed in a climate-controlled office with minimal exposure to safety hazards
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma

  • Current Lone Star College Student
Salary

Hourly Pay Rate is $16.33
