City Park Homes is seeking a hands-on, experienced Area Construction Manager to oversee residential and commercial building projects throughout North Texas. This full-time, on-site leadership role will be responsible for managing multi-phase construction timelines, overseeing subcontractors, placing large material orders, and ensuring projects meet the highest standards for safety, quality, and cost-efficiency. Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage timelines and budgets for large-scale, multi-phase construction projects
  • Oversee job sites to ensure safety, quality, budget, and schedule standards are met
  • Interpret blueprints and technical drawings; offer improvements to enhance construction efficiency
  • Lead by example and motivate teams to maintain performance and morale
  • Coordinate with contractors, architects, and vendors to establish clear construction requirements
  • Implement value-engineering practices to reduce cost without sacrificing quality
  • Ensure timely acquisition of permits and licenses through liaison with local authorities
  • Regularly report on project status and adjust timelines or budgets as necessary
  • Manage subcontractors and suppliers, mitigating cost overruns due to market fluctuations
  • Maintain inventories of tools, materials, and vehicles; ensure availability for upcoming projects
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or related field, or equivalent field experience
  • 2+ years of hands‑on trade experience (e.g., carpenter, mason, contractor)
  • Proven track record managing residential or light commercial construction projects
  • Leadership experience with the ability to manage crews, vendors, and deadlines
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills
  • Proficient with construction documents, budgets, and digital tools
  • CMAA or AIC certifications a plus
  • English fluency required;
    Spanish fluency is a strong plus
