We are searching for candidates that meet the required qualifications and experience and are able to perform the essential duties and responsibilities.
Job SummaryResponsible to prepare and deliver coursework in engaging, innovative, and discipline-appropriate ways that reflect a commitment to the college's core values, an understanding of culturally responsive teaching, and knowledge of the teaching field. Meet professional standards for faculty in accordance with college policies and procedures.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesTeach courses in accordance with the schedule of classes and follow the approved course descriptions and syllabi established by the Division faculty and administered by the Associate Dean/Director.
Syllabus edits to represent course instruction, required resources, due dates, assignment/grading breakdown, and a detailed course calendar.
Prepare relevant subject matter for lectures/lab activities.
Grade and return feedback to students in a timely manner as outlined in the course syllabus.
Attend faculty meetings and meet with faculty or director as needed.
Teaching assignments will be primarily at the McKinney Campus and may include an occasional evening or weekend event.
Supplemental FunctionsMonitor/assess during clinical in hospital/facilities.
Perform all duties and maintain all standards in accordance with college policies, procedures and Core Values.
Physical Demands, Working Conditions and Physical EffortSedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, a negligible amount of force frequently, and/or constantly having to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
Positions in this class typically include talking, hearing, seeing, grasping, standing, walking and repetitive motions, plus stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching.
Relatively free from unpleasant environmental conditions or hazards. Office and surgical lab environment. Little physical effort is required.
RequirementsA minimum of five (5) years of experience in Sterile Processing.
A minimum of two (2) years of experience in the role of a tech II or higher within the past five (5) years.
An Associate degree from an accredited institution.
Preceptor or teaching experience is desired.
Licenses and CertificationsMust hold current credentials as a Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) in the field of sterile processing through the Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) certification program.
Current member of the Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA).
American Heart Association Basic Life Support Certification for Health Care Providers or equivalent required.
