Primary Position Objective: Responsible for providing transitional, placement, and follow‑up services to former enrollees and graduates in compliance with government and management directives.
Brief Description of Duties:
- Serve as the principal point of contact for graduates and former enrollees during transition, placement, and follow‑up.
- Initiate transitional support referrals to off‑center placement specialists and other community agencies.
- Contact employers and one‑stop centers to arrange interviews and activities promoting initial placement.
- Maintain regular contact with former students during the placement and follow‑up period, provide services as needed, and document in the automated case management system.
- Verify, document and report placements meeting PRH requirements using the automated system and ETA‑678.
- Maintain regular contact with career development specialists and career technical training instructors on center.
- Collaborate with department staff to gather information and maintain open communication with workforce development centers throughout the state.
- Produce and distribute placement and follow‑up reports.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency with advanced Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel).
- Computer literacy with basic functions (email, internet, Adobe Acrobat).
- High level of communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- High level of ability to motivate, inspire, and counsel students effectively.
Experience: Two years related experience, preferably including successful Job Corps outreach and admissions experience or equivalent youth development programs.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in human services, psychology, counseling, education, social science, communications, or closely related field; or Associate’s degree in a related field plus two years related experience.
Certificates/Licenses/Registration:
- Valid State Driver’s License.
