U.S. Citizen, U.S. Person, or Immigration Status Requirements: The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

- Performing System Safety planning, hazard analyses, and design analyses
- Briefing safety considerations at technical reviews and as part of the safety approval process
- Interpreting system requirements, customer specifications and military standards
- Preparing internal and customer reports describing various analyses relevant to the System Safety program
- Collaborating across multiple disciplines to gain a full understanding of product architecture and design
- Interfacing with other engineering functions:
Systems Engineering, Software or Firmware Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Hardware Engineering - Assisting and attending System Safety Working Group(s) between Raytheon and customer representatives
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM)
- 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships)
- Experience with developing, implementing, and/or performing System Safety Program Plans, System Safety Engineering, Safety Assessments, Hazard Analyses or Hazard Tracking
- Experience with DoD System Safety Programs e.g. MIL-STD-882
- Experience with system and software safety implementation in Agile Development environment
- Experience interfacing with Human Systems Integration showcasing execution of Human Factors Engineering tasking involving MIL-STD-1472
- Coding experience or the ability to trace electrical wiring diagrams
- Familiarity with radars, lasers or sensors

- Salary range: 55,000 USD - 107,000 USD (good faith estimate; factors include experience, location, education, and skills)

- This role is based in the United States; specific pay structure and benefits may apply if residing in a U.S. territory
