Title: Sr. Specialist, Information Systems Security Engineer (L4)
Location: Greenville, TX (On-site with limited flexibility)
Duration: 12 month Contract-to-hire
Compensation: $60-$70/hr
Must Have Requirements:
- Experience building and managing Virtual Machines (VMs)
- Strong background in Linux and Windows Server environments
- Active Top Secret/SCI Clearance
- CompTIA Security+ Certification
- Bachelor’s Degree + 6 years of experience (or equivalent: 10 years without a degree)
Plusses:
- Advanced security certifications (CISSP, CCNA Security, Cloud+, Linux+, etc.)
- Experience with Cloud environments
- Familiarity with security engineering principles and secure system design
- Background in communications systems, networking protocols (TCP/IP), and embedded systems
- Experience with Agile development, TEMPEST, Anti‑Tamper, or high assurance crypto systems
- Prior work in government advisory or SETA/A&S roles
Job Description:
Insight Global is seeking a seasoned Information Systems Security Engineer to support a defense client in Greenville, TX. This role is ideal for someone with a strong cybersecurity background and hands‑on experience in building and securing virtual machines, Linux, and Windows servers.
You’ll work closely with Information System Owners, engineers, and program managers to implement and maintain robust security protocols across multiple systems. Responsibilities include conducting security assessments, developing policies, responding to incidents, and mentoring junior staff. You’ll also contribute to the design and testing of complex interoperable systems in a secure environment.
This is a high‑impact role requiring strong technical acumen, problem‑solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Occasional travel (approximately 10%) may be required.
Compensation:
$60/hr to $70/hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
