Job Summary
We are currently seeking an Engineering Technician to join the Texas Materials & Processes RF Microelectronics Verification Design team. This hands‑on role involves working in a factory and mechanical laboratory environment, supporting RF‑based production robotic cells, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining complex robotic systems. The candidate will also become knowledgeable in the programming and utilization of optical coordinate measurement machines (CMM) with progression to subject‑matter expert, and will document procedures, processes, and maintenance requirements for robotic cells.
Responsibilities- Troubleshoot failures on robotic test systems.
- Respond to production interrupts associated with robotic cells in on‑site factories.
- Repair and maintain robotic cells in two high‑volume factories.
- Identify trends in equipment failures and work with appropriate teams to resolve issues promptly to prevent future failures.
- Collaborate with the automation team and test station development team to design and build new test stations and robotic handlers.
- Perform other tasks necessary to meet team objectives.
- High School Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2‑year post‑high‑school training) with 6 years of experience.
- Experience working with pneumatics and fluid systems.
- Experience with automation, robotics, motion control, and other general test equipment.
- Ability to work from schematics, mechanical drawings, and test requirements, including written and oral instructions.
- Active U.S. government‑issued security clearance (Secret) or ability to obtain before start date.
- U.S. citizenship (required for security clearance).

The salary range for this role is $40,000 – $82,000 USD, reflective of experience levels. Additional bonus and incentive compensation depends on performance.
