Raytheon has an exciting opportunity for an FPGA Engineering Intern to join the Multi Product Power & Digital Team within the Electrical Engineering organization. Electrical Engineering drives business success by providing a variety of critical engineering tasks across Raytheon product lines and functions.
What You Will Do:- Develop FPGA designs for all major vendors and device families including:
Xilinx (AMD), Altera (Intel), and Microchip - Implement designs using VHDL for the following applications: gigabit serial interfaces, Radio Frequency (RF) interfaces, DSP algorithms, control logic, data links, and/or embedded processing.
- Work with circuit card designers and systems engineers to develop requirements, collaboratively model algorithms, partition and perform code development, simulation, and implementation
- Verify designs against requirements using both directed test and constrained random test methodologies
- Provide design support from requirements definition through integration and test, including design documentation and configuration management
- Must be pursuing Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Electrical or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co‑op session
- Experience with VHDL or Verilog programming
- Experience with FPGAs, microprocessors, or other programmable logic devices
- Experience with Xilinx (AMD), Altera (Intel), or Microchip FPGAs
- Experience with Xilinx (AMD), Altera (Intel), or Microchip design tools and development environments
- Hands on experience with integration and test of digital systems, including the use of test equipment (oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, etc.)

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
