Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited college or university
  • Successful completion of the Clinical Fellowship year, CCC‑SLP
  • License to practice Speech-Language Pathology in the state of Texas
  • Experience in pediatrics required
  • Home health experience preferred
  • Feeding Experience required
  • Bilingual in Spanish a plus
  • Must have a valid driver's license and auto insurance.
Responsibilities
  • Provide skilled speech therapy services in the home or daytime facility of patients 0-21 years of age, 2 or more times per week, in accordance with physician orders
  • Define patients' degree and type of speech, language, voice, oral‑motor, swallowing, feeding, auditory processing, and/or fluency impairment(s) by selecting and administering the most appropriate testing instruments
  • Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports
  • In collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, plan and evaluate team goals for each patient as well as advise, consult, and instruct team in specific speech therapy modalities and interventions
  • Plan for and modify care to meet goals of speech therapy interventions
  • Educate staff, caregivers, and patients by designing and delivering training, printed material/resources and in‑service programs in accordance with a total speech therapy program
  • May provide supervision to Clinical Fellows of Speech Pathology and/or Speech‑Language Pathology Assistants if you possess three or more years of experience
