Position SummaryThe Human Resources Director serves as the strategic HR leader for 100+ branch locations across the Southwest region. This role partners closely with regional and local leadership to align HR strategies with business objectives, drive organizational effectiveness, ensure compliance with employment laws, and cultivate a high‑performance, people‑centric culture. The HR Director will oversee all aspects of HR operations within the region, including talent acquisition, employee relations, workforce planning, performance management, leadership coaching, and change management.
Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership & Business Partnership- Serve as a trusted advisor to regional leadership teams, aligning HR initiatives with business goals.
- Lead the regional HR strategy in support of workforce planning, talent development, engagement, retention, and succession planning.
- Use HR metrics, analytics, and insights to drive data‑informed decision‑making and improve regional performance.
- Oversee complex employee relations investigations, conflict resolution, and performance issues, ensuring fairness and consistency.
- Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local labor laws across all Southwest states in the region.
- Partner with legal, compliance, and corporate HR teams to mitigate risk and maintain a positive employee experience.
- Lead regional talent acquisition strategies and partner with recruiting teams to fill critical roles.
- Drive performance management processes, including coaching leaders on goal setting, feedback, and performance improvement plans.
- Facilitate leadership development, training programs, and organizational capability‑building initiatives.
- Champion company culture and values across all regional operations.
- Design and execute programs that foster employee engagement, diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.
- Lead change management efforts to support organizational growth, restructuring, and transformation initiatives.
- Oversee HR teams within the Southwest region, providing leadership, mentorship, and professional development.
- Develop and manage regional HR budgets, staffing models, and resource allocation.
- Partner with corporate HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) to ensure alignment in compensation, benefits, learning, and HRIS processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required;
Master’s degree preferred. - 8–12+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, with at least 3–5 years in a multi‑site or regional role.
- SHRM‑CP, SHRM‑SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification strongly preferred.
- Experience supporting locations across the Southwest region is a plus.
- Strong understanding of multi‑state employment laws, HR best practices, and regulatory compliance.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and relationship‑building skills.
- Proven ability to influence leaders, drive change, and implement strategic initiatives.
- High emotional intelligence, discretion, and a commitment to confidentiality.
- Able to travel regularly throughout the region (25–40%).
- Strategic thinker with strong business acumen.
