Role Overview

Globe Life is looking for a Data and Analytics Director to join the team!
In this role, you will be responsible for delivering cross-functional reporting utilizing data analytics platforms that create strategic and transformational value for our clients, members, and Globe’s core business units with next gen data technologies. The Director must be highly experienced with business processes, robotic process automation, data visualization design, IT data analytics architecture, and deployment scale methodologies across multiple cloud technologies and integrations of necessary risk controls.
The leader will guide Globe Life to enable rapid expansion of data self-service capabilities (training, discovery, collaboration, partnership, and ecosystems) across the organization.
The leader will proactively seek out and sponsors process and technology improvements, reporting efficiencies, and partners with other IT & data teams to deliver new business value-added capabilities.
This is a hybrid position located in McKinney, TX ( WFH Monday & Friday, In Office Tuesday-Thursday) .
What You Will Do
- Create a data-centric organizational environment that allows for empowerment of data across citizen data users and visualization creators within the organization.
- Work closely with Data Engineering by providing business requirements, data analysis and analytics direction.
- Build strong partnership with business product line leaders to identify opportunities for AI implementation and data-driven decision making.
- Develop project plans, resource allocations, and budgets for analytics initiatives
- Lead end-to-end AI and data analytics projects from conception to deployment, ensuring alignment with business objectives and timelines.
- Establish KPIs and metrics to measure project success and ROI
- Package and present recommendations to the executive leadership team through a combination of qualitative and quantitative feedback.
- Provide regular, automated, reporting assets that enable effective storytelling and power self-service decision making across the organization.
- Champion an inclusive and diverse analytics mindset to attract a deep and diverse talent pool within the organization that includes effective coaching and development.
- Define the strategy for the analytics capabilities including, but not limited to, the business architecture, processes, sub-capabilities required and target state.
- Socialize and build awareness of analytical capabilities across the organization.
- Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in a quantitative discipline.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience building and maintaining BI applications and reporting management processes.
- Minimum of 5 years of Tableau, combination of network configuration, administration, and creator experience preferred, but not required.
- Experience developing complex statistical modeling for clinical program evaluation, and estimating impacts of various programs, interventions, and strategies on key clinical and business outcomes.
- Building applications on a cloud-native micro-services architecture.
- Knowledge of RPA and ability to implement process automation in analytics.
- Familiarity with AI technologies, algorithms, and data science principles.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) for AI and analytics applications
- Experience with data analytics tools and platforms (Python, R, SQL, Tableau, AWS Sagemaker)
- Deep understanding of data, business intelligence, and decision analytics, including full life-cycle development.
- Experience with agile development tools, including Jira.
- Ability to be hand-on, but also be a player-coach.
- Strong analytical and prioritization skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate across multiple levels within the organization.
