Job Description

Collin County’s Community Supervision and Corrections Department (CSCD) is seeking candidates for the position of Supervision Officer I for the Community Supervision and Corrections Department. A Supervision Officer I is responsible for but, not limited to, managing day‑to‑day operations of a mixed felony and misdemeanor caseload according to department policies and procedures established by TDCJ‑CJAD. Work is performed under the direction of a CSCD Supervisor.

• Managing the day‑to‑day operations of a mixed felony and misdemeanor caseload according to department policies and procedures established by TDCJ‑CJAD.
• Representing the department in dealing with local, state and federal agencies in conjunction with casework.
• Preparing Pre‑Sentence Investigation reports ordered by the judges.
• Performing misdemeanor and felony court work.
• Performing any other duties assigned by the supervisor, unit supervisor, or assistant director.

• Must possess the knowledge necessary to understand basic operational, technical, or office processes.
• Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in criminology, corrections, counseling, law, social work, psychology, sociology or related field, approved by the CJAD director.
• Must possess a valid Texas Drivers License with an acceptable driving record.
• Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience and certification. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
