Food Pantry Associate (Part Time)

Base pay $20.00/hr.

The Food Pantry Associate is responsible for assisting the Food Pantry Manager with the organization’s food assistance programs. This includes our in-house market, as well as the mobile distributions and other external food distribution events that might occur.

• Ensure proper pantry inventory daily, working with the Food Pantry Manager to ensure pantry is stocked.
• Assist with inventory for client selections.
• Assist clients through the food assistance process, from the initial contact to setting up the next appointment.
• Assist with all necessary cleaning and organization of the pantry, including refrigerators and the lobby.
• Assist with food loading and unloading as needed.

• Minimum 2 years of experience, preferably with a nonprofit that provides food to the public.
• Bilingual (Spanish / English) preferred.

• Demonstrated commitment to serving vulnerable populations with dignity and respect.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively.

• Fast-paced, emotionally demanding environment requiring empathy, patience, and resilience.
• Ability to work flexible hours.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 60 pounds. Evening or weekend hours may be required.
