Mental Health Provider (Psychiatric PA or NP) – McKinney, TX

Geode Health, a rapidly growing national provider of outpatient mental health services, invites applications for a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. The role can be full‑time or part‑time and focuses on delivering high‑quality psychiatric care to adults, children, and adolescents. Candidates must hold Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner certification, be licensed to practice, and have experience working with diverse populations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide psychiatric care, including evaluations, follow‑ups, and urgent/emergent consultations.
  • Document and navigate the electronic health record (EHR) independently and promptly.
  • Maintain strict client confidentiality.
  • Collaborate with the mental health team to develop individualized treatment plans based on psychosocial data, medical history, and nursing assessment.
  • Assess patients for need of higher level of care, including hospitalization.
  • Educate patients on medications, adherence, and after‑care services.
  • Work closely with supervising physician to improve patient outcomes.
  • Diagnose and treat patients from diverse backgrounds in a respectful manner.
  • Collaborate with clinical leadership, billing, and compliance for accurate documentation.

Qualifications

  • Current license/registration to practice as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Sound judgment and discretion.
  • Ability to maintain highly confidential information.

Working Conditions

  • Standard office environment with occasional travel to client locations.
  • May involve evening or weekend hours to accommodate client schedules.
  • Potential exposure to stressful situations and emergency scenarios.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit for 3–4 hours at a time between patient care and documentation.
  • Fine finger coordination for typing and mouse use.
  • Clear speech and hearing for patient and team communication.
  • Adequate vision to view computer screen and small objects.
  • Ability to act and move quickly in emergency situations involving patient care.

Salary: $45,320.00 – $55,620.00.
