Overview

The Neonatal Intensive Care unit is a fast‑paced, high‑acuity environment caring for infants 22 weeks gestation and older in a Level III NICU. The unit has 13 beds and a patient‑to‑nurse ratio of 1:2 or 1:3 depending on acuity. • Shift: PRN, 7 pm–7 am, minimum of one shift per week.
• Provide direct nursing care to infants in a Level III NICU.
• Maintain patient‑to‑nurse ratios of 1:2 or 1:3 based on acuity.
• Participate in the Unit Practice Council and unit QA activities.
• Support staff mentoring and inter‑professional collaboration.
• Apply evidence‑based practice to improve patient outcomes.

• Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum 2 years of Level III or higher NICU experience (or equivalent).
• Minimum 1 year overall RN experience.
• BSN preferred; additional NICU certification a plus.
