ScheduleFull Time Nights – 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM

Perform direct patient care within the scope of the Nurse Practice Act, with emphasis on the critically ill patient with Congenital Heart Disease and/or post‑surgery care. Organize, implement, modify, evaluate, document and maintain a personalized, family‑centered, holistic plan of care. Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment. Participate in CHSU initiatives and process improvement. Deliver high‑quality age‑specific care for the neonatal, pediatric, adolescent and young adult population.
Support the mission, vision and values of the organization.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing.
- BSN required within 24 months of hire into RN position.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
- Current RN license in the State of Texas or a compact license.
- CCRN preferred.
- Congenital Heart experience and/or high‑acuity PICU experience preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year PICU or CHSU RN experience.
