Animal Control Officer PT

Overview

Collin County has an immediate opening for an Animal Control Officer - Part-Time in our Animal Services department.

• Feeding and watering all animals, retrieving food and water bowls from dog kennels, and moving dogs into outside/inside kennels.
• Cleaning all dog kennels, cat cages/rooms, food and water bowls, common areas, intake room, food prep room, hallways, lobby floors, cat food prep, and janitorial room.
• Performing laundry duties.
• Assisting the S.C.O.R.E. Deputy with work assignments for the S.C.O.R.E. inmates.
• Running Animal Inventory Report and performing inventory, and running Available Animal Listing.
• Assisting SPCA with evaluation and loading of animals.
• Checking Animal Night Drops and processing animals into Shelter (or notifying Officer that animals are in intake).
• Assisting with animal vaccination (vaccine prep, holding animals, etc.).

• Work requires knowledge necessary to understand basic operational, technical, or office processes.
• No experience required.
• Must have level of education equivalent to four years of high school or equivalency.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Texas Operator’s Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.
