Job DescriptionThe Direct Sales Agent Specialist (Direct Auto Insurance) is responsible for the profitable growth and attainment of business goals by driving new business sales, understanding customer needs, building rapport and trust, and retaining a book of business within the market / retail location. This role generates new customers, cross‑sells existing customers, and promotes continued growth through walk‑in sales, marketing calls and in‑person visits.
Responsibilities- Drive new business sales and cross‑sell existing customers in the Auto, Life, Auto Club and Roadside Assistance product lines.
- Build and retain a client book of business within the market and retail location.
- Engage walk‑in customers, conduct marketing calls, and conduct in‑person visits to build community relationships.
- Leverage community contacts to build a sales pipeline and maintain an active physical presence in community events, car dealerships and local organizations.
- Initiate outbound calling and monitor competitive market activity.
- Collaborate with Direct Sales Leadership to plan, implement and manage marketing and sales processes.
- 0–2 years of experience in sales or related field.
- P&C licensing preferred; must attain required licensure within 90 days of joining the company.
- Successful closing of insurance and ancillary products.
- Meets and exceeds sales goals through new product sales, cross‑sell and retention of customers.
- Strong communication, customer service and community outreach skills.
Unlicensed candidates:
Base compensation: $17.50 per hour
, based on experience and qualifications.
Licensed candidates:
Base compensation: $20.00 per hour
, based on active required license and minimum 6 months of P&C sales experience.
Total compensation may include incentive pay such as commissions and bonuses based on individual and team performance.
