Heavy Equipment Shop Technician (Mechanic)
Build the future with Equipment Share – we’re hiring a Heavy Equipment Shop Technician (Mechanic) at our rental facility in McKinney, TX. The role focuses on maintenance and repair of customer and company owned heavy equipment machinery, aerial lifts, and other tools, helping us transform the construction industry with innovative technology and real‑time support.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with overtime pay after working 40 hours. On‑call during the weekend only in special circumstances.
Primary Responsibilities- Practice safe job practices while repairing equipment.
- Use technology (laptops and tablets) comfortably to create, assign, and monitor work orders and track machine service intervals.
- Maintain and repair complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on a variety of rental and customer equipment and tools while exercising independent judgment.
- Assist in the training of lower‑level technicians as needed.
- Maintain paperwork and electronic documentation of work performed (work orders) in a complete and timely manner on a daily basis.
- Assist with pick‑up and delivery of equipment and parts.
- Be knowledgeable of OSHA requirements (preferred).
- Participate in year‑round company‑provided OEM training.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools.
- Extensive knowledge of construction equipment with advanced understanding of schematics and diagrams.
- Superior customer service, teamwork, and verbal/written communication skills.
- High school diploma; trade school certificate preferred.
- Experience in field service, maintenance, and repair preferred.
- Must be able to move, stand, stoop, and bend freely.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
- Position is safety sensitive; employment contingent on passing a 10‑panel drug screen.
