Role Overview Career Team is excited to bring on a RESEA Specialist who will provide professional work offering career counseling, intensive case management, and follow‑up services to participants referred to us through the Reemployment Services & Eligibility Assessment (RESEA) Program. RESEA participants are referred if they are receiving unemployment benefits. The specialist will support participants as they seek employment, training, or education to become financially stable and employed.
Responsibilities- Provide case management services to RESEA participants who are selected to participate
- Lead RESEA workshops and orientations for participants, covering resume building, interviewing, and other essential topics
- Report participant non‑compliance or eligibility issues to UI state entities
- Enter participant data into Work In Texas and any other required system
- Guide job seekers through the preparation of individual employment plans (IEP)
- Offer counsel on available job opportunities, training programs, and services
- Refer individuals to appropriate services, training programs, or job opportunities and follow up
- Maintain accurate case files with required eligibility documents
- Meet and/or exceed program benchmarks
- Participate in staff meetings, training, and supervision as needed
- Complete required reports
Maintain a “ZAG” mindset in all tasks - Other duties and projects as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 1‑2 years of experience, or equivalent education and experience
- Strong communication skills and knowledge of community resources
- Analytical and problem‑solving skills with sound decision‑making ability
- Cultural sensitivity and the ability to work with diverse participants
- Computer literate with proficiency in MS Office; ability to learn specialized databases
- Strong interpersonal, time‑management, customer‑service, organizational, oral, and written communication skills
- A valid driver’s license
- Bilingual or multilingual
- Strong multitasking and proactive approach
- Training in trauma‑informed care, evidence‑based practice, or whole‑family services
Employment Type: Full‑Time, Non‑Exempt Employee
Job Site: Onsite
Travel: Approximately 15% travel within the region
