Senior Software Engineer – Embedded

Join the Advanced Products & Solutions (APS) Engineering Team in McKinney, TX as a Senior Software Engineer – Embedded. You will design, develop, test, and support real‑time software for advanced electro‑optical and infrared systems, including AESA radars, precision targeting, ISR systems, and aircraft sensor suites.

Onsite – McKinney, TX, 2501 West University. Relocation eligible and occasional business travel may be required.

• Support all phases of the software development life cycle, from concept and requirements to design, development, integration, testing, and maintenance of military and commercial programs.
• Apply creative solutions to complex technical and software integration challenges.
• Collaborate closely with Systems Engineers to design user‑centric solutions that meet operational needs.
• Work onsite at McKinney, TX and occasionally travel for business purposes.

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in STEM with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Proficient in C++ design paradigms on Linux, VxWorks, or other real‑time operating systems.
• Experience developing, testing, and integrating real‑time C++ software applications.
• Familiarity with shell, Perl, or Python scripting.
• Active U.S. Secret security clearance and U.S. citizenship required prior to start.

• Experience coding in C, C#, Java or related languages.
• Hands‑on lab experience with test benches or simulators.
• Strong understanding of complex systems and legacy codebases.
• Experience with Scrum/Agile development and Dev Sec Ops  pipelines (CI/CD, static analysis, TDD).
• Proficiency with Git and Git Lab for version control.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects.
• Experience in CUDA for GPU‑accelerated workloads.

DoD Secret clearance is required; U.S. citizenship is required as a prerequisite for a security clearance.
