Overview
Lead Operator for the Road & Bridge department. This position supervises job sites by directing the activities of equipment operators, truck drivers and repair crews. Work is performed under the direction of the Foreman.
Responsibilities- Supervise job sites by directing the activities of equipment operators, truck drivers and repair crews.
- Participate in the construction, maintenance and repair of roads, guardrails, bridges, asphalt, and drainage systems.
- Participate in shop repairs including welding, painting and grinding.
- Perform administrative duties by reading and interpreting construction plans and maintenance tasks and maintaining daily records, fuel sheets and inventory logs.
- Perform related duties as required.
- Knowledge necessary to understand basic operational, technical, and office processes.
- At least four years of experience as an Equipment Operator.
- Education equivalent to four years of high school.
- Must possess and maintain a valid Texas Class A CDL Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.
