Lead Operator
Collin County is seeking candidates for the position of Lead Operator for the Road & Bridge department. This position supervises job sites by directing the activities of equipment operators, truck drivers and repair crews. Participates in the construction, maintenance and repair of roads, guardrails, bridges, asphalt, and drainage systems. Participates in shop repairs including welding, painting and grinding. Performs administrative duties by reading and interpreting construction plans and maintenance tasks and maintaining daily records, fuel sheets and inventory logs.
Performs related duties as required. Work is performed under the direction of the Foreman.
Candidates must possess the knowledge necessary to understand basic operational, technical, and office processes. At least four years of experience as an Equipment Operator and a level of education equivalent to four years of high school are required. Must possess and maintain a valid Texas Class A CDL Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
