Location: McLean, VA (Onsite – 5 Days/Week)

Compensation: $70,000–$75,000

The OpportunityOur client is seeking an Accounts Receivable Analyst to join its accounting team. This role is ideal for a government contracting accounting professional with hands‑on experience in Deltek Costpoint and contract billing. You’ll play a key role in invoicing, AR collections, compliance, and audit support while working closely with Program Control and Accounting leadership. This position reports directly to the Accounting Manager and is fully onsite in a business‑casual office environment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform monthly invoicing, cash receipts processing, and AR collections
- Analyze financial data and prepare variance and trend analyses
- Review account activity to ensure accuracy and completeness of balances
- Ensure proper cost classification across cost accounts and projects
- Maintain compliance with GAAP, FAR, and CAS requirements
- Support annual and periodic audits, Incurred Cost Submissions, and DCAA interactions
- Partner with Program Control to ensure accurate project tracking and timely project closeouts
- Assist with ad hoc accounting projects and other duties as assigned
- 1–2+ years of government contracting billing experience
- Familiarity with FFP, T&M, and CPFF contract billing
- 1–3 years of accounting or finance experience within the Gov Con environment
- Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Advanced Excel skills preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Self‑motivated, results‑driven, and adaptable in a fast‑paced environment
