What You’ll Do- Maintain sensitive customer, confidential, and proprietary business information responsibly.
- Use government websites, professional resources, and team expertise to locate and deliver the correct answer to the customer in everyday language.
- Provide tax advice, full-service return preparation, and product/software inquiries for Turbo Tax Business customers.
- Prepare full-service business returns and obtain signatures.
- Assist with filing tax extensions.
- Create high‑quality interactions that instill confidence through empathy and extensive business‑tax knowledge.
- Apply company policies and procedures to troubleshoot and resolve customer tax advice and return‑preparation issues.
- Document all customer interactions.
- Consistently meet company key performance metrics and Big Bet goals.
- Participate in pilot testing, projects, and experience validations as needed.
- Strong business tax preparation experience: 3+ years of recent experience preparing federal and state business returns (1065 and/or 1120‑S) for at least 20 clients/customers per season using commercial tax preparation software.
- Minimum 2 seasons of personal tax preparation experience, with a minimum of 30 tax returns per year in a tax practice or retail setting.
- Availability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week, spread across three or more days.
- Bookkeeping experience with books‑to‑tax preparation strongly preferred.
- Experience preparing business tax returns for service‑industry customers strongly preferred.
- Must possess or be able to obtain any related state licenses, certificates, permits, or bonds.
- Must possess an active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN).
- Working knowledge of Circular 230.
- Proficient with technology; solid knowledge of computer operations and software.
- Strong customer‑service skills – able to interact with customers through video and audio tools in a professional, friendly, and confident manner.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Critical thinking, problem‑solving, research skills, and determination.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Must have (or be willing to obtain) an internet connection that meets Intuit security criteria.
- Must reside in the United States.
