Senior Associate, Digital Designer and Storyteller

The Senior Associate, Digital Designer and Storyteller position supports Capital One’s Associate Insight, Media and START (AIMS) team by creating on-brand multimedia experiences that help inform and inspire Retail Bank ambassadors and associates.

McLean, VA (hybrid). This role is designated as hybrid, with required on-site presence in line with Capital One’s hybrid policy at your designated office location.

USD 80, per year.

• Partner with business leaders and intent owners to define video intent and develop storylines
• Write creative briefs, scripts, and storyboards
• Organize and manage the production workflow
• Film or coordinate filming and/or edit video assets
• Collaborate with external film crews and editors
• Create graphic design solutions across channels and platforms while applying Capital One brand standards for high-quality production value
• Design email and newsletter materials
• Develop article layouts and design
• Create logos and branded marks
• Produce slide templates and designs
• Design infographics
• Design, develop, and maintain intranet sites within Capital One’s design system and platform to support on-brand experiences and quality UX
• Create visual layouts for internal web pages, including wireframes
• Build and code web pages in Lum Apps using HTML and Java Script
• Manage updates and additions to web content
• Apply Agile practices and maintain strong organization, time management, and communication
• Support process improvement work with the Well-Managed Process Owner by providing insights, support, and feedback
• Build connections with the broader Retail Bank and enterprise-wide multimedia communities

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification
• At least 3 years of experience in filming, editing, and video production using Adobe Premiere
• At least 3 years of experience with Adobe Creative Suite CC (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
• At least 1 year of experience in web design using HTML or Java Script
• At least 1 year of experience in UX or UI design
• At least 1 year of experience working with Google Suite products
• Mastery of technical video production, filming, and editing techniques
• Strong graphic design portfolio
• Brand advocacy and focus on essential brand standards
• Ability to brand and promote products, information, and strategies through aesthetic design
• Knowledge of web coding languages, such as HTML and Java Script
• Proven UI/UX design skills
• Enjoys ideating with others and pursuing leads for strong stories and news to share
• Supports other designers by sharing work and seeking feedback
• Can juggle multiple tasks while delivering strong results

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Video Production, Computer Science, Web Design, or Graphic Design
• 5+ years of experience in web, logo, or graphic design
• 5+ years of experience in video production and editing in Adobe Premiere
• 2+ years of experience using Google Suite
• 2+ years of experience in UI or UX design
• 1+ year of experience developing web pages in Lum Apps
• 1+ year of experience formatting and laying out online articles
• 1+ year of experience working with Agile methodologies
