Tysons, VA. This is a full‑time position requiring 100% travel.

Responsibilities

As an Electronics Technician 3 in the Security and Electronic Systems (SES) Business Unit, you will:

  • Execute technical tasks within field operations, including on‑site installations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of electronic security equipment and systems.
  • Conduct site surveys, configure hardware and software, test systems, and provide technical support to customers.
  • Utilize project safety plans (JHA, AHA, PFW), enforce M.C. Dean handbook and policies.
  • Participate in quality reviews of design documentation and analyze drawing packages for constructability.
  • Track project metrics and participate in weekly resource allocation meetings.
  • Verify correct charges in timesheets and ensure accurate project documentation.
  • Manage tools, conduct inspections, and organize material ordering.
  • Lead daily safety meetings, ensure compliance, and complete incident reporting.
  • Contribute to PITCO plan creation and execution for high‑quality testing and installation.
  • Install system raceways, cabling, equipment racks, enclosures, and panels to industry standards.
  • Terminate, test, and configure electronic devices, network, and IT equipment.
  • Configure base switches, servers, and workstations; troubleshoot programmable components.
  • Perform quality control inspections and document findings.
  • Install and maintain field devices, address copper and fiber optic issues.
  • Lead commissioning efforts, track activities, and represent M.C. Dean in meetings with owners and design teams.
  • Communicate consistently with project teams, other trades, and customers.
  • Mentor crew members, provide constructive feedback, and encourage innovation.
  • Support resource planning, manpower assignment, and procurement.
  • Travel 100%; this position requires regular relocation and on‑site presence in various locations.
  • These duties are not all‑inclusive; additional tasks may arise.
Qualifications
  • U.S. citizenship required;
    ACTIVE SECRET clearance is REQUIRED.
  • High school diploma or GED with Military Electronics Training (minimum 720 classroom hours)
    or graduation from an accredited Electronics Technician program or graduation from an Electrical Apprenticeship program.
  • Minimum 3 additional years of electronics installation and/or maintenance experience.
  • 6+ years of electronics installation and/or maintenance on multiple systems across various customer programs.
  • Strong oral, written, and presentation skills.
  • Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Time management and organizational skills to meet deadlines and quality objectives.
  • Proficiency with MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license; ability to use company vehicle as needed.
  • Acceptable driving record per company policy.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Vendor certifications in IDS, ACS, and CCTV systems (e.g., CCURE, Lenel, Identiv/Hirsch Velocity, Bosch Radionics, Bosch CCTV, Bosch BVMS, AIphone Intercom, Airphone, FFT, DIVAR, Windows OS).
  • 3+ years focused on electronic security systems.
  • OSHA 30 certification.
